I came to the book hoping for a flowing narrative, but instead, I discovered it was topical and at times, rather tedious, like the chapter that just listed an endless succession of Salvation Army Generals I suppose Gariepy wanted to be thorough, and thus had to be extremely brief on the interesting parts of the history in order to include the dry uninteresting parts I do want to learn about Mrs Booth, she sounds like an incredible lady, and well, Mr Booth seemed pretty cool as well I want to fi [...]
