This biography of Primo Levi is a most commendable read After reading, The Periodic Table and If This Is a Man I wanted to learn about Levi s life so I bought this hefty volume The book is very nicely written, describing in detail many important passages of his early life and providing interesting insights into his depression later in life If Levi s primary driving force for writing was to bear witness on his time in Auschwitz, he might have approved of this honest account on his life.
