    1. When the Elite Ops Series ended their fabulous 7 book run back in 2015, the world of lesfic thrillers was left in a void No sexy, lethal, and larger than life secret agent spy assassin has stepped up to take the place of the happily married off Elite operatives Until now.Natalya Tsvetnenko aka Requiem , classical cellist by profession, mob assassin for hire by avocation Or the other way around It doesn t really matter to her which as both are exceedingly exacting and tremendously pleasurable pur [...]

    2. Requiem for Immortals is a thriller and not a romance novel at all, and thank goodness for that There s a common idea that all lesbian genre fiction must be romance, and if it s not, there at least must be a strong romantic thread running throughout This book defies that standard and is part of a necessary shift in lesfic to offer to readers Don t get me wrong, I love a good romance, and my shelves demonstrate that But if I want to read something from a different genre, it s a relief to not hav [...]

    3. 4 1 2 Stars This was a good one I have to give Winter credit for writing a LesFic book unlike any I have ever read Yes, I have read books with lesbian assassins And of course about talented musicians But never anything like this I feel like I have read so many books with a flawed character, who as soon as she meets her soul mate or falls in love, she is totally changed from her ways Not Requiem Winter made Req a flawed character and let her continue to be flawed and not apologize for it It was s [...]

    4. Given the reviews for this book I was prepared to absolutely love this book and when I found myself at end I have to admit to a sense of disappointment Don t get me wrong, this is quite a good book But in my opinion its not a great book I loved the Red Files, I totally brought into the plot, characters and the romance With this novel, not so much The character of Requiem was just too much of a psychopath for me to warm to at all Now I get the whole bad girl attractiveness Think f male Leon and a [...]

    5. Requiem For Immortals by Lee Winter is easily one of the best books I have read in some time The characters are fascinating The writing is superb and the story , absolutely captivating Some adjectives right This book will stay with you in and leave you wondering what s next Not in the frustrating cliffhanger kind of way, but in write another one already, I need kind of way The story is center around our two main characters, Natalya and Alison These two are your yin and yang Natalya Tsvetnenko i [...]

    6. Natalya Tsvetnenko is one character in a million. It s so different to be refreshing She could be compared somehow to Stieg Larsson s Lisbeth Salander another one character in a million , as she is violent, genial, disturbed but with a heart But she is not a hacker Her life is not a mess By day she is Natalya, a brilliant, internationally renowned celloist, great lover of classic music, but secretly she is also Requiem, the most dangerous, efficient assassin of the Orient well, actually the autho [...]

    7. Oh momma that was a good read Requiem is the the ultimate in cold blooded hired assassins She also plays a mean cello in her day job The perfection needed in her musical career bleeds snort into creative ways to end the lives of underworld mob bosses, flesh traders and other unsavoury business types Her victims are not blameless innocents When her next assignment is an unassuming office worker she is perplexed and curious about her target and the person responsible for the requested hit But a jo [...]

    8. Loved this Truly unique Lots of twists Great suspense, lots of action, a cool setting, and some romance too Couldn t put this one down Looking forward to lots from Lee Winter s uber creative mind.Net Galley ARC received for an unbiased review.

    9. I thought this was a fantastic and fun read and I enjoyed it even than The Red Files The two leads are both excellent and developed characters and the plot is unique, complex, and well executed It was one of those books that I couldn t STOP reading, telling myself Just one chapterokay, one chapter I really loved this It s an interesting mix of action, humor, drama, and mystery that felt highly cinematic I couldn t help thinking it would make a great movie This is a new favorite.

    10. Wow this book blew me away It was recommended by several of my friends on and as usually I wasn t let down It had a bit of everything but what I liked the most was the main character Winter made no excuses for her arrogance nor her flawed personality Requiem was everything I would want in the hero of the story even with her being an assassin. As you can probably guess she meets her soul mate But what was really refreshing was she didn t charge or try to be nicer She was just Requiem No apologies, [...]

    11. This was one of the most captivating thrillers I ve read so far this year To say I was pleasantly surprised would be an understatement This is the book that pulls you in from the very beginning and keeps you on your toes until the last moment of it The mystery is there, the perfectly planned, rich plot is there, the romance is there, albeit different from the standard, romance novels, but even that adds to the bonus this book brings I feel like if I say I just loved it, I would somehow belittle [...]

    12. This is by far the best book I ve read in over a year of obsessively flying through lesfic like an addict It is gems like this that keep me reading through and weeding out the good from the bad and the good from the great Requiem for Immortals definitely falls under the great column The synopsis gives enough of a description to perfectly summarize what s in this novel, but nothing will explain how beautifully it is written or tell you how it will punch you in the feels I say buy it and buy it no [...]

    13. Well she has done it again, Lee Winter is on my must read list since I read The Red Files and that hasn t changed since reading this book This review is going to be brief because there is a big mystery element to this story that I truly believe everyone should experience without any spoilers Natalya Tsvetnenko Requiem is a classically trained cellist who also happens to be an assassin working within the underworld in Australia She is a perfectionist in both of her careers and also quite genius i [...]

    14. This is such a good book, it has everything i love to read wrapped up in roughly 300 pages Natalya Tsvetnenko, a profesional musician, has the perfect sexy and dark assassin vibe, always dangling on the line between lovable and an asshole On the other hand, Allison, a seemly innocent target changes everything It is such a rich book in every sense, firstly it is beautifully written, coherent and eloquent It keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole time, unable to put the book down Also, the w [...]

    15. I received this book for free from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.Requiem for immortals is definitely not your ordinary lesbian romance or even the usual mystery thriller It is part of the Law series by Ylva publishers but very different from the rest How so To start with, it is not an easy read However, I m saying this as a compliment because this is a book that challenges the reader by showing them a very dark side of humankind The main characters are not easy to love or relate to, [...]

    16. Captivating masterpiece This is a nerve shredding thriller full of great actions The plotline is insane but in a very very good way An cocky, intelligent assassin with mental and physical prowess, highly dangerous and with a kick ass killing abilities but an inability to love In fact, a total lack of feelings On the other hand you have a little mouse A mouse that you should not underestimate Both are a guarantee for a hell of a ride There are several unexpected turns that are very surprising The [...]

    17. This is truly a roller coaster book And I love roller coasters You ve got the thrills when the assassin Requiem is doing her thing and then you get a breather when the cellist Natalya is around But then Requiem is hired to kill a mouse, an innocent as near as she can surmise but then the mouse is I can t say any Read the book for an E ticket ride A reference for those old enough to remember when Disneyland had ride tickets

    18. It has been argued that this book is not a romance Arguments can be made one way or another, and I believe I d probably end up on the losing side of such an argument, but to me this is a romance Beginning, middle, end, a romance It might say it is something else, it might not call itself such, but it is It s built on the foundation of emotions, of love, of anger, of fear, of romance Buried behind a Vulcan exterior That is not the first time I thought of that Vulcan idea I thought of it fairly ea [...]

    19. ARC provided by Netgalley and the publisher for an honest review I wanted to give this book 5stars and it was really difficult for me to decide to give it four because this book has everything that I love in a book The writing is fantastic and the story was executed in such an interesting and gripping way, I also loved the characters and the twists and turns that they cause throughout the story but when ot came down to rating I just couldn t say that it was an outright 5 star book Natalya was ve [...]

    20. This book has a dark beginning that contextualises the underworld of crime families and assasins However, as the mystery progresses, the darkness lifts and lights up the story, and lives of the characters held within it Another fascinating read from Lee Winter that is so intruiging, it s hard to put down.

    21. Though I did not particularly care for either of the main characters I could relate to some of their qualities, like Natalya s deep feeling for music and Alison s own feelings about herself I kept reading because of the terrific writing, pacing and because I continuously found myself highlighting passages that made me nod my head or thoroughly get what the character was thinking A huge thing I never quite could get past is Requiem s livelihood even if she does only kill bad peopleI was glad to b [...]

    22. Contains Spoilers I was initially drawn in by the endless social media chatter about how good this book is The many good reviews and the good looking cover led me to believe I was in for a good read but this was, sadly, not the case.Requiem, the lead character, is about as unlikable as they come What I presume was supposed to be alluring and mysterious was actually just formulaic and cruel While I don t expect to like a professional hitwoman, Requiem had no redeeming features at all, which makes [...]

    23. Requiem For Immortals by Lee Winter is guaranteed to get under your skin and stay there because it is just so good. The story is about Natalya and Alison.Natalya is a highly regarded cellist Staying on top of her game requires rigorous discipline and training But so does being the assassin Requiem which is the other part of her life. One day she is sent a contract to kill Alison, but she has to wait a few weeks before she can do it So, she starts to follow Alison and the she uncovers about the wo [...]

    24. I won this book in a give away As others have said, good writing, but the story, or the characters just didn t grab me.The two main characters are polar opposites in every sense the only thing they have in common are their respective step mothers and it stays this way for the entire novel, with Natalya constantly reminding Allison about the things she just doesn t do view spoiler In fact, the story seemed to be heading toward a non HEA, and in this rare case, I would have been OK with that The d [...]

    25. This is a truly exceptional reading It s nearly impossible not to finish it in one sitting So, make sure is the weekend. The first half is quite brilliant, the characters gradually reveal themselves to you and you have absolutely no idea what are the motivations behind the events It s super exciting. The problem not really a problem, just a few little details lies in the second half the story loses pace and becomes a story being told within a story I felt like skipping pages. Also, view spoiler I r [...]

    26. Good book with complicated characters and interesting plot If you like the series Dexter you ll like this book I happen to love the series Dexter and don t mind the somewhat dark elements of this book.

    27. I delved into this book with a lot of trepidation I read a lot of people s responses to this book, so I was prepared to be gutted emotionally at the end, and to have to deal with a book hangover that could have kept me from reading for days, or even weeks I can honestly say neither of these two things happened to me I don t think I became as emotionally invested in Natalya, Requiem, and Alison Not that I wasn t invested at all, but not as much as others were, evidently Which may lead you to wond [...]
