    1. Oh lord this is a soulless story I would never have bought it on my own it was a gift, and so I read it out of duty But it s a prescriptionist moral tale shaved down to its most boring and lifeless aspects, all in the theme of CHRISTMAS with the CHRIST firmly in it Some stupid animals are bragging about how their great great great grandparents helped Baby Jesus, but then they re all mean to the pig and talk about how Jesus is too holy to cavort with pigs, so Pippin storms off into an awful snows [...]

    3. A Sweet story about a little pig who doesn t know about Christmas The stories she hears from the barn animals make her feel that pigs weren t part of the Christmas story, and so she vows to leave the barn forever Once out in the storm, she stumbles upon a woman and her baby that are lost in the blizzard, and so she leads them back to the barn and instructs the other animals how to help them It becomes their very own Christmas miracle, and it wouldn t have happened withot Pippin the pig.

    4. This was my favorite Christmas story this year My kids thought I was crazy because I got a little teary every time I read it to them A reminder that everyone has something special to give at Christmas and always.

    5. This is a sweet story about a little pig who learns about Christmas and reminds everyone about the true meaning of the season The story is heartfelt and the illustrations are soft and muted We enjoyed reading this simple, but meaningful story together.

    6. When you think about the animals involved with Christmas and the Christ Child, a pig is not one of them that comes to mind. But after you read this story, you will find yourselves happily including pigs, especially Pippin, as part of your storytimes at Christmas time

    7. This really is a cute book I could live without the religious undertones but the moral of the story is good.

    8. I liked it but its a religious book Being that i read to several children with different backgrounds I can t read them this However its a great book if you want to teach them about Christianity.
