    About Author

    1. Jennifer and Christopher Martucci hoped that their life plan had changed radically in early 2010 To date, the jury is still out But late one night, in January of 2010, the stay at home mom of three girls all under the age of six had just picked up the last doll from the playroom floor and placed it in a bin when her husband startled her by declaring, We should write a book, together Wearied from a day of shuttling the children to and from school, preschool and Daisy Scouts, laundry, cooking and cleaning, Jennifer simply stared blankly at her husband of fifteen years After all, the idea of writing a book had been an individual dream each of them possessed for much of their young adult lives Both had written separately in their teens and early twenties, but without much success They would write a dozen chapters here and there only to find that either the plot would fall apart, or characters would lose their zest, or the story would just fall flat Christopher had always preferred penning science fiction stories filled with monsters and diabolical villains, while Jennifer had favored venting personal experiences or writing about romance, as romance was far easier to invent fictitiously than it was to attain in real life Inevitably though, frustration and day to day life had placed writing on the back burner and for several years, each had pursued alternate paying careers But the dream never died And Christopher suggested that their dream ought to be removed from the back burner for further examination When he proposed that he and his wife author a book together on that cold January night, Jennifer was hesitant to reject the idea outright His proposal sparked a discussion, and the discussion lasted deep into the night By morning, the idea for the Dark Creations series was born. The Dark Creations series was written while Jennifer and Christopher continued with their day to day activities and raised their young children They changed diapers, potty trained and went to story time at the local library between chapter outlines and served as room parents while fleshing out individal sections of the book Life simply continued And in some ways, their everyday lives were reflected in the characters of the series In fact, the main female characters are named after three very important people in their lives their three daughters Their likenesses end there, however As the story line continues to evolve, so too does the Martucci collaboration Lunches are still packed, noses are still wiped and time remains a rare and precious commodity in their household in upstate New York, but it is the sound of happy chaos that is the true background music of their writing They hope that their work, though penned for a young adult audience, will be appreciated by the young of every age, and that all enjoy reading it as much as they enjoyed writing it.

    1. Is it possible that two species with almost inbred mutual hatred can put aside their differences in order to annihilate a new species intent on killing and eating them all Humans and Urthmen have to battle the species, together or separately, created when Avery Azlyn s team sets off a nuclear bomb that destroys what used to be Manhattan but mutates the surrounding survivors to ravenous killing machines These beings are capable of strategizing, though, and know the importance of disabling vehicle [...]

This audiobook was provided by the author, narrator, or publisher at no cost in exchange for an unbiased review courtesy of AudiobookBoom dot com.I did not read the other books in the series The author gave enough background information that I didn t feel lost The story wasn t really memorable but it wasn t boring either I give the story 3 5 and the narrator 4 5 Spoilers ahead I have a hard time seeing Avery as a leader She strikes me as impulsive and doesn t think things through When an urthman [...]

    5. Entertaining , suspenseful and full of action. This is the first book in the series I have listened to I didn t realize this was the last in the series when I started it It took me a bit to figure out who all the characters were I really wish I had started at the beginning, although I still didn t have any problem following the story it would have just made it that much enjoyable The human survivors discover a new enemy the Ugana and their survival is once again threatened An enemy they unknowin [...]

    6. SAD TO BE AT SERIES END.I must say that I have become rather fond of the heroes of the series I want , though it s not to be You should definitely read the books in order as each is a continuation of the overall story You will experience and emotions as plot twists create questions about war and the danger of causing harm than good Humanity is represented by the indomitable spirit to overcome unbeatable odds Our adaptability shines to create a world that is tolerant of those different from ou [...]

    7. This is the first review I ve written in the series and thought this was a good ending to our heroes stories My only critique is that throughout all the violence of the book, the most swearing was oh my gosh I understand that the genre is young adult, but if readers can handle all the atrocities in the form of violence and rape, then they can handle a few choice words here and there The lack of said words made me feel like I was reading about young children instead of older teens to adults Every [...]

    8. Wow, such a great book and amazing series And just a perfect and fitting ending I enjoyed the Planet Urth series so much Like finishing any book or series that is so enjoyable there is some sadness, because you get so so involved in it, but this was such a perfect, wonderful ending, I felt real closure, it just felt right Such great characters, vivid scenes, great detail and superbly written I just really connected with the story emotionally Dangers faced, battles fought, love and hope found in [...]

    9. This audiobook was provided by the author, narrator, or publisher at no cost in exchange for an unbiased review courtesy of AudiobookBoom dot com It was really hard to get into this book as I was delving in on the last of the series, but once I did, I was really pissed I did not start at the beginning This book has everything you would want in a sci fi, adventure, romance, dystopian and opera kind of book I am so glad to have finished it Now to read the rest of the series. It was good to find out [...]

    10. I love this series, but this was not my favorite There were SO MANY grammatical errors that it was difficult to stay in the story These errors read like a bad text autocorrect, with we re being used where were was the correct spelling, they re instead of the correct their as well as simple errors like adding a s instead of ed when the sentence inked makes sense with a past tense, NOT plural I m not sure who edits this, but perhaps they should have someone else do it It was VERY annoying.

    11. I liked this book. This was a great series I wish there were books to read or at least to come, but aside from that I really enjoyed this book The story was very good All of my favorite characters were present and I even met a new character that I like very much I have always been a fan of the enemy of my enemy is my friend, for now The book did leave me wanting adventures with the entire group I always try to avoid including spoilers in my reviews, but the ending was pleasantsed in this series [...]

    12. Brilliant A perfect ending to a series that I fell in love with Every book was filled with adventure and survival in world where our race is hunted I was intrigued by this crazy new world I became invested in the characters, as if they were really people I knew I was rooting for them to overcome all the obstacles this post apocalyptic world was throwing at them Jennifer Martucci is a brilliant author and I m looking forward to reading of her books.

    13. Great ending to the series and that twist is a doozy.Enjoyed every book in this series Love the first person style engagement It really pulls you into the story and puts u in the action first hand If written words in a book can tug on my emotions like this series then it s worth every penny.Moving on to the remains of urth Thanks for the fun entertainment.

    14. My series are finished I loved it There were errors, basically editing would ve been nice But happy that things turned out well Never thought it would start or end like that, but thanks guys You did it justice

    15. I haven t written a review for this series until now Even though I have rated them all 2 stars, I would still read every one But now having read them all I can say without any reservations that this series is an absolute waste of time.

    16. What a disappointment Book one through four were so good and this final book was boring I had a hard time finishing it The authors should have stopped after book four The character development was non existent.

    17. Good ending to the series Hated to see it come to an end but I guess 5 books is enough Really recommend this series.

    18. Excellent bookI could not put this book down I didn t want it to be over I will probably read the series over again.

    19. Good readI was pleased and disappointed, this was I believe the best book of the series and I am saddened to see it end My thanks to the authors.

    20. The book wasn t the worst book ever or anything but I really thought it was pointless I think the series should have ended with the 4th book with maybe a longer epilogue.

    21. Loved the seriesI loved the ideas of what life could be like after an atomic bomb kills the planet and so on Great imagination by the authors

    22. The fourth book ended great I was happy, then they made a fifth book which almost ruined the entire story for me Why couldn t the series end at number 4
