    1. Loved this book I think it s my favorite of her books There s action, adventure, suspense, and a hint of romance I recommend it highly

    2. I loved the Steampunk elements of this book Donna Hawk s descriptions of the alternate world were vivid and cleverly dark at times It was also great to pick back up with some of the loved characters of her Mortgatha series This was a fun and grown up adventure for them It was a fantastic adventure and I hope to see of Clarie and Patrick

    3. Free copy for an honest review I loved this book, It was a complete work of fiction but it was written so beautifully that I felt like I was in the story with Patrick and Clarie My favorite character had to be Tulie

    4. This review was first published on Kurt s Frontier.Synopsis This book is a follow on from the Mortgath trilogy Claire and Patrick are back home Clair has been nervous and edgy since her adventures In her boyfriend s antique shop, she finds a small box that contains a secret and knows she must return it to its home realm With her beloved Patrick at her side, she again sets off for a new world The world the box leads them to is much like earth but based on steam engines and iron In the Iron City, [...]

    5. This was a really enjoyable adventure by the same characters we learned to like and at times envy in some of Mrs Hawk s previous books We are introduced to a new world where steam reigns and the internal combustion engine is unknown Some including this reviewer would call this bliss, but pollution is a problem in this steel world So the adventure evolves as a fight between good and evil, between progress and stagnation.A highly enjoyable and entertaining read

    6. Such a good book to follow the trilogy.I do highly recommend this book, especially after reading her trilogy of Morgatha I enjoyed the book, hope stories continue.
