    1. This is the book that my Buddhist group is currently studying during monthly discussion meetings We are actually reading Volume V, and we cover about 15 pages at each meeting, with people reading aloud and discussing it So it will probably take a year or so for us to cover all of it The series is a good way to focus on the teachings of Nichiren Buddhism We have a very knowledgable leader, and without him the book would be difficult to fully appreciate.

    2. Volume 1 was great I can t wait to read the other volumes in The Wisdom of the Lotus Sutra series Some of the chapters were really, really deep and I will probably revisit them sometime in the future But regardless, I was very pleased with the content in the book, because the book discussed concepts that are very essential to Nichiren Buddhism And I like the deep stuff anyway it makes me think Ha ha 10 10

    3. Mahayana Buddhism, and especially Nichiren Buddhism, is excellent for its focus on the improvement of society through inner transformation and constant effort I really appreciate Ikeda s knowledge of philosophy and literature that he uses to support his belief system Also a very encouraging self help book for one aspiring for moral purity and enlightenment.

    4. This is an excellent dialog about the Lotus Sutra and how it relates to the human experience Contemporary in content yet ageless in meaning I can t wait to read volume two.
