    1. Review originally posted at larissaslife 2013 05 mWhat happens when everything you hold dear has betrayed you What happens when an average man is suddenly thrown in a hostile environment What finally happens when in the deepest pit of hell you suddenly find truth and friends and people who care for you That s some of the questions our hero Miles is forced to answer in this book.Gyaros The Mice Eat Iron is a book for the struggle of a man for survival, struggle to overcome obstacles and to remain [...]

    2. Gyaros The Mice Eat Iron is a science fiction dystopian thriller novel by brothers Rohan and Alex Healy For a debut novel it s remarkably assured, confident and accomplished If I didn t know better I d think these guys had been writing novels for years They ve crafted a detailed, textured and immersive world that in many ways could pass as a slightly futuristic, dystopian version of our world Carthage is a dreary, corporate run world in which you can live a reasonably comfortable, if uninspirin [...]

    3. Gyaros has everything a good science fiction book should have an engaging story line, likeable characters, and immersive descriptions. The action moves fast and will keep you anxiously waiting for The story is packed with unexpected events and twists straight from the very start Just when you think you can relax, something is bound to happen and turn things around yet again Even the descriptive passages are so masterfully woven into the storyline they don t slow down the pace of action for a min [...]

    4. Gyaros Book One was an intriguing book I just read the first chapter of Book Zero, now it s a collection of exhausting intrigue and twists Way too much fatigue for me to put it down and not give in Paradox It was that too Shoved in your face, every on the dot criteria main stream society gives to us in the form of the seemingly perfect planet of Carthage versus the otherwise well known trash as druggies, thieves, murderers with questionable morals Given, I d root for the latter And I m none of t [...]

    5. Once Miles arrives on Gyaros the story is captivating and draws one in I couldn t stop reading, I had to find out what happens to Miles next Miles is an every day office worker who loves his wife and son He let his anger get the best of him and winds up on Gyaros, a place criminals are exiled to This is definitely in the horror genre as his adventures on Gyaros are descriptive and graphic as he goes through some of the rough areas of the place He meets some sketchy characters along with some hel [...]

    6. I m tending towards the lower end of 4 stars, because this book wasn t extraordinary It has a decent plot at least after the beginning , decent characters, and a reasonable set up for a sequel. My primary gripe with the book is its main character, Miles He s pathetic He has absolutely no spine, and reading about him was not pleasant Unfortunately, his is the story we re reading.I ll probably read the sequel, but I m in no rush.
